Boot Camp Walk into this class and crawl out of it. Employing high intensity interval training, explosive plyometrics, push-ups and drills, this workout leaves you drenched. Almost anything goes, so bring your best game!
BootyBurn (Boot Camp) interval training class tightens glutes and maximizes leg strength. BootyBurn increases your strength and power by combining cardio bursts, weight training, and plyometrics—an intense circuit training class that leaves your booty looking better than ever!
Hard Core focuses intensely on the major core muscles: erector spinae and deep back muscles, and abdominals—transverse abdominus, internal and external obliques, and rectus abdominus. Be prepared for a gut-busting workout.
HIIT (Boot Camp) High Intensity Interval Training trains and conditions both your anaerobic and aerobic energy systems. Designed to burn more calories by alternating between low/moderate intensity intervals and high intensity intervals, this class is not for the faint of heart! Be prepared to sweat!
Kettle Bells Learn proper technique and form while using the girya (kettlebell) to sculpt functional muscle. Comrades will increase power, strength, balance, and stability. Learn the simple but sinister traditional exercises and techniques as taught by the Russian masters.
Self Defense is a special eight-week class that begins Sunday May 6. Learn the basics of practical self-defense! This accessible-to-all series is held on Sundays 12:30-1:30pm. YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Mindful Vinyasa Yoga focuses on movements that form a flowing sequence in coordination with the breath. Mindfulness is a focused non-judgmental awareness of each moment—being fully present—by focusing on the breath. Cultivating mindfulness transforms yoga asana practice into a moving meditation, building awareness throughout the practice to explore and integrate mind, body, and spirit.
Power Yoga is a vigorous, fitness-based approach to yoga. Power yoga incorporates athleticism with lots of vinyasas (series of breath-coordinated poses done in sequence) to build strength as well as flexibility.
Restorative Yoga is a 90-minute class that emphasizes deep relaxation for body and mind. Using support like bolsters, blankets, and straps, yoga poses are modified to the individual student, allowing for longer holds and less strain. This is a class for everybody and every body; no prior knowledge of yoga is necessary. Breathwork and meditation are integral parts of this class. Props are provided, but feel free to bring your own for maximum comfort.
Sunrise Yoga combines asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises) to gradually wake up the mind and body and set an intention for the day ahead. Move through a heat-building, heart-opening, expansive practice suitable for all levels.
Vinyasa Yoga is an athletic style of yoga that focuses on building strength, balance and flexibility through breath-coordinated, sequenced poses.
Yoga is a flowing practice that emphasizes the breath, quiets the mind, and opens the heart. Everyone from beginners to experienced yogis and yoginis are welcome!
Yoga Sculpt- Enjoy all the stretching and toning benefits of both Pilates and yoga in this one-hour workout. You'll spend the first half of class toning and tightening your entire body. You'll finish with a gentle yoga flow that will leave you deeply relaxed and ready to face the day.
